GLAST终于要发射了

NASA的GLAST终于要在6月11日发射了，这次应该不会再改了吧。话 说从去年推迟到今年，从年初推迟到现在，上个月说6月3日发射，到5月底又宣布推迟到6月5日，到了6月2日又再推迟到6月7日，然后。。。。又推到6月 11日，真的是好事多磨啊！好吧，为了GLAST顺利上天，我对NASA的谨慎和认真深表理解！今天是6月10日了，到目前还没有新的更改，如果没有突发 性的意外的话，大概这次的时间应该是真的定下来了吧。祈祷祝愿GLAST发射成功！

GLAST=Gamma-Ray Large Area Space Telescope（gamma射线大天区空间望远镜）

GLAST 是一个强大的空间天文台，它将拓宽观测宇宙的窗口。Gamma射线是光谱中最高能的成份，gamma-ray的天空将会比我们肉眼所能看到的更加绚烂辉 煌。因为在各种重要性能上都有巨大的飞跃，GLAST数据将可能会让科学家们得以回答长久以来一直困绕人们的一系列问题，包括超大质量黑洞系统、脉冲星、 宇宙射线起源、以及新型物理信号的研究。
NASA's Gamma-Ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) is a powerful space observatory that will open a wide window on the universe. Gamma rays are the highest-energy form. of light, and the gamma-ray sky is spectacularly different from the one we perceive with our own eyes. With a huge leap in all key capabilities, GLAST data will enable scientists to answer persistent questions across a broad range of topics, including supermassive black-hole systems, pulsars, the origin of cosmic rays, and searches for signals of new physics.

这次发射是一次天体物理和粒子物理的合作，由NASA和美国能源部共同开发，并且得到了法国、德国、意大利、日本、瑞典、以及美国的科研院所和很多参与者的帮助。
The mission is an astrophysics and particle physics partnership, developed by NASA in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy, along with important contributions from academic institutions and partners in France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Sweden, and the U.S.

DeltaⅡ火箭准备在6月11日（周三）发射，发射窗口美国东部时间11：45到下午1：40（即北京时间=美国东部时间+12小时，也就是说发射时间应该是在我们的午夜了）
The launch of NASA’s GLAST spacecraft aboard a United Launch Alliance
Delta II rocket is slated to launch Wednesday, June 11, during a window that extends from 11:45 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. EDT.

发射台工人在上周末已经将Detla-Ⅱ的燃料助推器装载完毕。发射当天，凌晨2：00火箭周围的可移动保护塔将会撤掉。上午10：15开始，注入液氧，进入最后的倒计时阶段。
Workers at the launch pad loaded the hypergolic propellants into the Delta II rocket's second stage over the weekend. On launch day, they will retract the mobile service tower from around the rocket at 2 a.m. Loading of the liquid oxygen, beginning the final phase of the launch countdown, is set to start at 10:15 a.m.
