死谷的夜空
[img]http://www.phys.ncku.edu.tw/~astrolab/mirrors/apod/image/0705/deathvalleysky_nps.jpg[/img][color=blue][b]说明: 死谷上空诡异的晕光即将消失。 由左往右捲动视，可见到美国大陆傼剩最幽暗的地方之一：加州的死谷。上面这张360度的全天照片，是由拍摄於两年前盐湖赛车场 (Racetrack Playa)的30张影像拼贴而成 。影像经过数位处理，并将高仰角的影像加以拉长，让影像呈方形的外观。在影像前景右方，可见到一颗很突兀的石头，它是在一次风雨后由狂风吹进盐湖赛车场的。背景则是瑰丽的夜空，可以清楚地看到数千颗星星以及许多星座。影像中心的拱型光带是我们银河系的盘面。威胁夜空的光害在美国和世界上到处可见，因此，国际暗天协会 (International Dark-Sky Association) 和美国国家公园管理局正努力地想办法来保护珍贵的夜空。[/b][/color]
